Polymer Clay Bead Statement Necklace

I’m always looking for something new, fun, and exciting to try. Last year it was polymer clay. I really loved the versatility of the clay. There are just so many things that you can do with it. I still haven’t found an end to the variety, and I could spend hours just playing with it. I purchased some books, and checked out some at my local library. Only to find an unlimited supply of ideas! So I tried making large polymer clay beads. I had so much fun! The idea was to make beads that were 1 inch around or larger without them being too heavy. As I read on I found out that you could use aluminum foil as the base, and then cover them with your polymer clay. After a few tries and embellishments I came up with the item you see above!
